Network Operations Center (NOC)

This year's network operations center (NOC) is the place to be if you want to see the latest technologies and how they measure up to the competition. You will see a variety of solutions from server-based-computing to systems management, and you will be able to attend a variety of tech-talks from leading manufacturers of software and hardware on products that can make managing your network easier. You'll see new technologies up and running, and have opportunity to watch and ask questions as systems engineers install and configure their latest wares.

The tech-talks include topics such as "Planning and Implementing Windows 2000 Active Directory" by Microsoft, "VPN and VLANS" by Cisco, "Structured Cabling Systems" from AMP, "Web Caching and Load Balancing" from Intel, and "Managing the Novell Netware Environment with ZEN" by Novell, just to name a few. Each tech-talk will be presented by a systems engineer, who will also be available for one-on-one Q&A later in the day.

The NOC should provide a great opportunity to see what new products are available in the area of systems management, as well as a chance to chat with systems engineers about specific issues. Make sure you check the conference schedule to see a detailed list of topics to be covered.
