CEDPA's 5th Annual Golf Tournament
Terrell Tucker, Panama Buena Vista Union School District
What could be better than a Conference at the beautiful Fess Parker DoubleTree Resort in Santa Barbara? Why, golf at the Sandpiper Golf Course, of course. Plan to join us on the links at the "Pebble Beach of the South" on Friday, November 17. The tee time will be 12:30 to give us a chance at finishing 18 holes on one of the nation's top public courses. With breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, this will be a fitting finish for the 2000 CEDPA Conference.
The tournament will be played in a scramble format. This allows each player to hit from the location of his team's best previous shot. This gives hackers the chance to enjoy the round and help out the team at the same time. We will also employ a blind handicapping system to thwart sandbaggers and even the playing field a bit. Thanks to the Novell Corporation, the price for playing is a bargain at $30 for Conference attendees and $100 for vendors. You will receive 18 holes of golf with a cart, a box lunch, drink tickets and a chance to win some great prizes. We also hope to arrange for a hole-in-one contest with a car as the prize.
Be sure to register early, since we are limited to 50 players and the deadline for entries is October 10, 2000. Direct your questions and completed entry forms to Terrell Tucker at . You can also mail them to Terrell Tucker at Panama-Buena Vista USD, 4200 Ashe Road, Bakersfield, CA 93313.
