Northrop Grumman Receives Certification For Year 2000 IT Services Offering

LOS ANGELES, July 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) has received ITAA*2000 certification from the Information Technology Association of America (ITAA) for its Year 2000 IT (information technology) solutions services offering, signifying that the company meets the IT industry's best software development practices for addressing the Year 2000 issue.

To qualify, Northrop Grumman participated in a rigorous evaluation of its approach to date conversion, including an extensive review involving 11 process areas such as situation assessment, solutions analysis, and systems verification and validation. The positive evaluation affirmed Northrop Grumman's SEI Level 3 process for software development and its methodological approach to the Year 2000 solution.
