Teacher Training at Microsoft

Elisa Bartell, Microsoft Corporation

To help school districts and teachers integrate technology into their classrooms, Microsoft’s Professional Development Partnership Program is currently being revised and improved. The program was recently renamed to teacher.training@microsoft and has a new Web site still “under construction” at http://www.teachertraining.com. No new applications are being accepted at this time but please feel free to revisit the web page by June 15 for the application RFP.

Through the teacher.training@microsoft program, Microsoft will team with over 350 State Department of Education and College of Education teacher training sites. Our associates serve an important need by providing pre and in-service staff development for teachers who will be implementing Microsoft technology in their classrooms. Microsoft supports their training efforts through annual software donations for teacher training lab sites and preview/demonstration sites. By year end 1997, over 200,000 educators will be trained on Microsoft software via these programs. Comments and questions can be submitted to .
